This film directed by Benjamín Ávila, starred by Ernesto Alterio, Natalia Oreiro and César Troncoso, produced by Antàrtida Produccions (Spain), Historias Cinematográficas, Habitación 1520 (Argentina) and Academia du Film (Brazil), with the collaboration of TVE, has been selected for the Quinzaine des réalisateurs at Cannes 2012.A kid can imagine lots of things: a birthday cake with a rifle inside, journeys to exotic places with top secret missions; a false family in which everyone always dies just because; a hero who never defeats his foes; a kid just like him but with another name; a girl that always falls in love with the wrong boy... A kid can imagine all this and much more. However... what can Juan imagine if this is all part of his reality? Infancia Clandestina or what is in the imagination of a kid living an underground life in Argentina during the war.
The Catalan production company Antàrtida Produccions opens its branch of fiction films with this excellent and touching movie, just before starting the production of Second Origin, movie adaptation of Manuel de Pedrolo’s novel Mecanoscrit del Segon Origen, which will be directed by Bigas Luna.
