Second Great Final of Pica Lletres
The Second Great Final of Pica Lletres 2010 took place last Thursday 3rd of June at Barcelona’s Victoria Theatre, with great excitement and a huge audience.
After six years of the show, figures are spectacular: more than 6.000 participants, more than 62.000 schoolchildren involved and a total of 1.018 confrontations between schools. There’s no other event in all of Catalonia like the Second Great Final of Pica Lletres 2010.
This edition hosted 13 pupils from 13 different schools: the Sant Esteve Sesrovires high school, Barcelona’s IPSI school, Mataró’s Miquel Biada high school, Vilanova i la Geltrú’s Escola Pia, Reus’ Maria Rosa Molas school, Les Planes de Santa Bàrbara’s high school, Lleida’s Col•legi Episcopal, La Seu d’Urgell’s La Salle, Vic’s High School, Artés’ Miquel Bosch i Jover school, Olot’s La Garrotxa high school, Arbúcies’ Montsoriu high school and Sant Feliu de Guíxols’ Sant Josep school.

The winner, Lídia Mourelo from Barcelona’s IPSI school, was proclaimed Catalonia’s best speller. She won a laptop computer and an adventure sports’ stay for her whole class.
